Haralambos Drousiotis

Director

Haralambos Drousiotis holds a degree in Communication and Mass Media from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a master’s degree in Film from Middlesex University of London. From 2017 until now he has been working in audiovisual content productions with a main interest in documentary production. The topics that concern him are gender issues, the dissemination and preservation of the cultural heritage of Cyprus and intercommunal relations. He has directed documentary films, which have been presented at festivals in Cyprus, Greece and Turkey.

Since 2020 he is a member of the board of directors of the Larnaca- Famagusta Cinema Society where his duties concern the artistic selection of the program for the screenings as well as the organising of events such as CinemaTalks. Cinema Talks is a conference where various people from the field of cinema (academics, directors, producers and cinema workers) come together to discuss and present developments on a specific theme.

From 2022 he collaborates with the Audiovisual Forum AEI for the CinEkpedefsi program as an instructor. Secondary school students as well as university students create their own documentaries and present them at a special day during the Cyprus Archaeological, Ethnographic and Historical Documentary Festival.

He collaborates with the NGO Xarkis for the production of the artist hosting program and the festival that took place in Korno.

Charalambos has been a member of the GSC team since 2023 and has undertaken the production of the Graphic Stories documentary.
