Angeliki Athanasiadi is an award-winning visual communication designer, academic and Therapeutic Art Life Coach, specializing in Branding. She holds an MA (Hons) in Branding from Middlesex University in London, where she was awarded a scholarship. She teaches graphic design at the American University of Cyprus and at Alexander College / UK University Degrees, as well as at Strovolos Open School for children and adults. She is also a certified Vocational Training Instructor by the Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus.
She is the founder and Creative Director of Graphic Stories Cyprus, an international visual communication initiative that combines a conference, exhibitions, workshops, publications and cultural education activities. Through Graphic Stories, she has curated and organized international poster exhibitions with social, environmental and cultural themes, and has delivered talks and workshops that promote knowledge, creative expression and contemporary dialogue around visual communication. She is also the creator of the Design Forum “10 minutes Design Talks” and has organized Behance Portfolio Reviews in Cyprus twice.
Angeliki has participated in more than 150 international poster exhibitions on social, environmental and cultural themes. She has also been invited as a jury member in major international visual communication and poster design competitions across Europe, Asia and the Americas, including ADC*E, Poster For__ and the GAUDEAMUS Projecta Awards in Barcelona. Her work has been recognised at the Cyprus Design & Advertising Awards – Pygmalion Awards with gold and silver distinctions, while her book Graphic Stories – Γραφιστορίες has been approved by the Ministry of Education of Cyprus and received a Gold Design Award at the Pygmalion Awards.
Her work has been presented and recognised internationally. She represented Greece at the EUNIC Exhibition in Beijing in 2022, participated as a speaker at WIDC 2022 and WIDC 2024 in China, and represented Cyprus at the Eastern European Design Festival, FEED, in Warsaw in 2023. In 2026, she participated in the Founding Conference and the First Representative Assembly of WIDA in Shanghai, where she was elected as a member of the First Council of the World Industrial Design Association. She also participated as a keynote speaker at the International Academic Forum of Industrial Design.
In 2025, she received the Study UK Alumni Award in the Culture & Creativity Awards Cyprus category by the British Council. In the same year, she designed the postage stamps for the commemorative series “EUROPA 2025, National Archaeological Discoveries”, as well as the stamp “Stand Up Against Bullying”. She is also the producer of the award-winning documentary Graphic Stories: Destinat10n, which has been screened and recognised at international film festivals.
Her work connects visual communication with education, social awareness, cultural expression and the international promotion of Cypriot creativity.
